There are freshwater houses that only float in the jolt of a nervous swell. Péniche (FR) have taken to the turbulent currents of instrumental post-punk to speak without words of urgency, love and camaraderie.
The tumult of their storm leaves precious room for the emotion of post-rock tracks, a sort of tearful preparation for the salvific bazaar. The soundtrack of a trio that will always prefer the high seas to marinas, Péniche is as beautiful as a wave hitting the cliff or a goal in the 90th minute.
